Linguistic Profiling and me

I was just reading the hipteacher blog (because that's the sort of thing I do) and read the post about linguistic profiling. The linguistic profiler poses the question, "What Kind of American English Do You Speak?". Well, since I'm Australian, I was curious, would the years of American TV have caused me to speak like one? Undertaking this highly scientific test i was shocked at the results.

***Your Linguistic Profile:***

40% General American English

30% Yankee

15% Dixie

10% Upper Midwestern

0% Midwestern

Now I don't know the difference between Upper Midwestern or Midwestern, or where the best real estate is, don't really know what Dixie is either for that matter, but what the results do tell me is, I watch far too much TV!
