Darkly Dreaming Dansko Shoes

Having recently finished reading Dearly Devoted Dexter, the second book in the 'Dexter' series, I couldn't help but notice that Dansko shoes sounds eerily similar to Dr. Danco, the main protagonist from the book.

Dr. Danco took his name from a vegetable slicing machine, that came with the tag line "it slices, it dices, it makes chopped vegetables", that was also an apt description for the method in which he dispatched his victims. Basically Dr. Danco was a former covert-ops 'torture specialist' who's technique involved cutting body parts off his captives until they gave him what he wanted.

I guess that's why the link between Danco/Dansko and shoes seemed a little ironic in an Alanis Morrisette kind of way.
