A fifth of Americans can’t locate the US on a world map

Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can't locate the United States on a world map. Why do you think this is?

If you were asked that question how would you respond? I'd like to think that at least 99% of readers would be able to come up with something a little better than this response from Miss Teen South Carolina 2007...

I think she did hammer home one point. There may just be a couple of education issues in the US. I wonder what her thoughts are on incontinence products?
